Re-goal, an innovative football goal that returns the ball back to the player.
Process
North Trampoline is a premium trampoline manufacturer who we had a collaboration with in this project. The main task of this brief that was given to our class was to think sustainable and re-use the components of an old trampoline and give it a new life in the shape of a new product, the cradle to cradle method.
My group companion Oliver Sharp and I knew early into the process that we wanted to continue the North Trampoline sport spirit. With the most logical question; “Why don’t kids play outside alone?” we did our own interviews and online surveys. After knowing that the majority of children don’t play alone outside because of getting tired of not getting a feedback in any kind, especially with a ball. We decided to look for a solution for that specific problem by brainstorming and mindmapping our ideas of how the ball can come back to the player. Easiest way to show our thoughts is by sketching quick and dirty.
Result
The finished model of the goal was more than what we expected, our calculations and hard work had payed of. We have created a new solution that’s sustainable and improve physical and mental health of the user. The concept were presented at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2020 in the Greenhouse department.
My classmate Ludvig Djerf and I created this film of all the groups in the class and our journey throughout this project. The film was shown during all the days we were at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2020.
